[B]Between 10 and 11 a.m., the KIA's security mines exploded near the KIA’s Nau Ra Pa post, under Battalion 11, near Myitkyina, the capital of Kachin State.[/B] More than 10 Burmese soldiers who tried to enter the KIA post were wounded, according to KIA sources at the post.  The wounded Burmese soldiers have not been identified. The area was controlled by Infantry Battalion No. 29, based at Pa-La-Na, seven miles north of Myitkyina, local sources said.
